Wonderful interview – all of them, really. And lots of food for thought. I want to second the praise of A Wish after Midnight. I hope the schools find it as it fills a much-needed gap in timeslip books based in and featuring characters of color, and is a great read as well. I’m loving this interview series. Thanks Don!

Thanks, Edi! Making it inside or outside “the industry” is definitely a challenge, but artists couldn’t do anything without the support of adults and professionals (like you!) who really care about what our kids read. A Wish after Midnight is being considered by several literacy coaches here in Brooklyn…your review definitely gave my novel legitimacy–here’s hoping it winds up in schools!

I’ve actually had the pleasure of reading and reviewing “A Wish After Midnight” and encourage everyone to buy it, read it and give it to a friend! Zetta is an amazing author! The more I talk to authors and the more I find out about how publishing works, I have to admire not just the talent but the amazing fortitude it takes to remain committed to the art!
