Hooray for Tanita S. Davis! There are so many stories out there of people whose heroism has gone uncelebrated. I’m happy to see Tanita writing about the WAC, and the role of black women in the war. We need to understand our history and appreciate the strength of our predecessors. Especially in YA, it lights the path for the next generation.

And what’s this about working AND going to boarding school? At the same time? I second the request for a memoir!
