Fascinating interview. Fascinating author.
Fascinating question, "What if you had been a Panther?" It intrigued me how answering this question helped you bring your novel to life.

Congratulations!

Stunning interview with an amazing author. I LOVED the Rock & the River and that book helped inspire me to write a long letter to Bloomsbury that I published on my blog about whitewashed book covers and racial inequality in books.

Anyway, the book is inspring and I thank you for shining the light on the dark corners of history, I knew some things about the Black Panthers (I am a history nerd so I read non-fiction on them) but I learned even more from your book and I'm so glad people will get to learn more about the contributions of the Black Panthers (both good and bad), the anger and confusion that was felt during the civil rights movement and the impact and powerful of extraordinary individuals who inspired others and together rose up and became (as you say) revolutionary.

I <3 being black :) I wish you continued success on the Rock & The River and I look forward to what you write next.
