In a few short days, the calendar will roll over to February. Many will actively seek to stock pile knowledge and materials on all things Black History. While it’s indeed a time to be more proactively mindful of our history, it’s also a time to re-commit to consuming work by Black creatives on any day ending in Y.
This year’s 28 Days Later features are meant to bring awareness to these creatives, their work and to help everyone to regularly flex the muscle of seeking Black kid lit. They join an esteemed list of creatives that can be found here 365 days a year.
Congratulations to our 2026 honorees!

So honored to be honored!
Nice! I discovered a couple of accomplished authors I was unfamiliar with — all are now profiles on AALBC.com (https://aalbc.com/authors). BTW, there is a typo in Monica Mikai’s name.
